Our selection of inserts and bases come in various sizes. Inserts are primarily used for welding a design onto a plain baluster (such as our HP202). Inserts can also double as bases. Bases (such as our HP203), however, are used mainly for installing balusters into wood railings. There are a number of designs to choose from that can be used for any flat surface. For a staircase, the HP204 is most commonly used because it has an angled base. Inserts and bases can be powder coated to match the balusters for installation.
